A new teaser for The Vampire Lestat has finally been released.

Premiering this summer on AMC and based on Anne Rice's hit novel of the same name, the long-awaited new season will see Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) take centre stage as he kicks off his new rockstar era.

The official description for the new episodes reads: "In the new rock and roll-centric season, the Vampire Lestat goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by 'muses' from his wild and rebellious past.

"As his band's popularity and star power rises, so does Lestat's influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat's power in the face of the Great Conversion, and unnatural surge in the vampire population."

The Vampire Lestat will see the return of Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Assad Zaman as Armand, Eric Bogosian as Daniel Malloy, and Delainey Hayles as Claudia.
