"From the heart, from one Boricua to another, with respect and love, I thank you."
Ricky Martin has showered Bad Bunny with praise following the 68th Grammy Awards.
On 1 February, Bad Bunny's critically acclaimed album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,' took home the coveted Album of the Year award, making history as the first all-Spanish language album to do so.
In addition to his monumental win, the 31-year-old talent delivered a passionate and powerful speech condemning ICE and the current.
"Before I say thanks to God, I'm gonna say ICE out. We're not savage, we're not animals, we're not aliens. We are humans, and we are American. Also, I wanna say to the people: I know it's tough not to hate these days, and I was thinking sometimes we get contaminado," he told the audience.
He went on to exclaim that "the only thing that is more powerful than hate is love", adding: "We need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love. We don't hate them. We love our people, we love our family, and that's the way to do it... with love. Don't forget that, please."
Since that fateful day, Bad Bunny has received heaps of praise from fans and an array of his industry peers, including Martin.
