No sex please, we're working

The fun, bodily fluids and community of working in the queer sex industry
Words by Nick Levine
Some jobs in the queer sex industry have nothing to do with sex work. And they aren't even as sexy as you might think. When Ian Squibb told people he worked at The Vault, a London cruise bar that hosts underwear and naked nights, they often asked him: "So, do you fuck the punters then?" In reality, this was against company policy and on busy nights, there just wasn't time. "Imagine manning the cloakroom on a naked night – it was absolute chaos," he says. "You might see some action but you definitely didn't get any."
