Fans are gagging over the Heated Rivalry lookalike contest.
Over the last few months, pop culture enthusiasts worldwide – including us here at Gay Times – have been dealing with a severe case of 'Heated Rivalry mania.'
The Canadian series, created by Jacob Tierney and based on Rachel Reid's hit novel of the same name, follows the decade-spanning, secret romance between Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), two rival elite professional hockey players.
Since its premiere, Heated Rivalry has defied expectations, earning universal acclaim for its heartfelt love story, unapologetic spicy moments and, of course, Storrie and Williams' chemistry-filled performances.
While season one wrapped up on 26 December, the series has shown no signs of slowing down its pop culture takeover, with many of its stars becoming A-list sensations overnight.

Heated Rivalry's success has also spawned a lookalike contest, which took place on 1 February (Sunday).
The highly anticipated event – held at Washington Square Park in New York City – saw dozens of individuals dressed in hockey jerseys and putting on their best impressions of Shane and Ilya.
