Sophie Nélisse is down for a lesbian spin-off of Heated Rivalry.
The Yellowjackets star plays Rose Landry in the acclaimed hockey romance: a film star who becomes romantically involved with Hudson Williams’ closeted hockey player, Shane Hollander.
Their brief romance was primarily explored in the show’s fourth episode, which culminates in the now-iconic scene where Rose and her close friend Miles dance intimately with Shane at a club, while Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) looks on and T.A.T.U.’s iconic lesbian banger ‘All The Things She Said’ dramatically scores the moment.
In an interview with Young Hollywood, Nélisse was asked if she thought a Rose–Shane–Miles love triangle could be a possibility in a future season — although no such thing happens in the second ‘Hollanov’ novel in Rachel Reid’s beloved MLM series The Long Game. She pivoted to something much better.
