The first look images of Someone’s Daughter, an upcoming survival thriller starring François Arnaud, have been unveiled.

An exclusive from Deadline features two images: one of a shirtless Arnaud — sporting a couple of tattoos and a gun — and another, fully clothed, with his co-star Pascale Bussières.

The film will follow Sam (Bussières), “a criminal defense lawyer in her 50s, who is kidnapped and abandoned on a remote island with Paul (Arnaud), a former client she successfully defended a decade earlier when he was accused of raping the kidnapper’s daughter.”

The synopsis continues: “As the pair struggles to survive the brutal Canadian backcountry, an uneasy bond forms. However, Paul’s behaviour turns increasingly toxic, leading Sam to an impossible choice.”

Someone’s Daughter is written and directed by Wiebke von Carolsfield (Marion Bridge) and co-written with Doug Taylor, with Canadian outfit Filmoption launching world sales at this week’s European Film Market in Berlin.
