British wheelchair tennis player Greg Slade has reflected on his coming-out journey.
On 19 January, ahead of the Australian Open, the young athlete came out as gay in a heartfelt statement shared with Pride in Tennis.
"To those closest to me, my sexuality has long been no secret. However, when it comes to the wider tennis community, I've so far kept that part of my life private. Now feels like the right time to change that," he wrote.
