Bridgerton's showrunner has opened up about Benedict's sexuality in season four.

Back in 2024, the popular Netflix series finally confirmed that the second Bridgerton son (Luke Thompson) was bisexual during the second half of season three.

In the juicy episodes, Benedict started a polyamorous relationship with his lover at the time, Tilley Arnold (Hannah New) and her friend Paul ( Lucas Aurielo) – resulting in the trio sleeping together on multiple occasions.

While many LGBTQIA+ fans celebrated the storyline, some wondered how the show further explore his identity in season four, especially since it would be an adaptation of Julia Quinn's third Bridgerton novel, An Offer from a Gentleman.

For context, the book follows Benedict as he embarks on a Cinderella-esque romance with Sophie Beckett.
