Bad Bunny declared “the only thing more powerful than hate is love” during his politically charged, record-breaking Super Bowl halftime performance.

On 8 February, the Puerto Rican rapper delivered a medley of hits including ‘Tití Me Preguntó’, ‘Safaera’, ‘Party’ and ‘Eoo’, before being joined by Lady Gaga for a salsa rendition of her global chart-topper ‘Die With A Smile’.

A surprise appearance from Ricky Martin followed during Bad Bunny’s track ‘Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii’, alongside cameo appearances from Cardi B, Karol G, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Alix Earle, Young Miko, David Grutman, Ronald Acuña Jr., Xander Zayas and Emiliano Vargas.

Bad Bunny made history as the first Super Bowl halftime artist to deliver an entirely Spanish-language set, as well as the first male solo Latin artist to headline the show. Rooted in Puerto Rican pride and Latin culture, the performance doubled as a powerful act of resistance, pushing back against an increasingly hostile U.S. political climate, including widespread protests over ICE’s immigration enforcement operations.
