After months of anticipation, the gays, girls and theys were finally treated to Heated Rivalry on 28 November — and let’s just say, not a single soul was left disappointed. 

Based on Rachel Reid’s best-selling novel, the series dives into the lives of Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), two star hockey players whose fierce rivalry on the ice is matched only by the secret, magnetic connection they share off it. What begins as a hidden attraction evolves into a tangled web of clandestine encounters, unspoken tension and emotions neither of them can ignore.

The official synopsis reads: “What begins as a secret fling between confused teenagers at 17 evolves into a years-long journey of love, denial, and self-discovery. Over the next eight years, as they chase glory on the ice, they struggle to navigate their feelings off it. Torn between the sport they live for and the love they can’t ignore, Shane and Ilya must decide if there’s room in their fiercely competitive world for something as fragile — and powerful — as real love.”

In addition to Storrie and Williams, Heated Rivalry stars Sophie Nélisse as Rose Landry, Dylan Walsh as David Hollander, Christina Chang as Yuna Hollander, François Arnaud as Scott Hunter, Kaden Connors as Sasha, Robbie G.K. as Kip Grady, Harrison Browne as Connors, and Slavic Rogozine as Alexei Rozanov.

Since its premiere, the series has had social media users, news outlets (including us), and critics in an absolute chokehold thanks to its decade-spanning love story, heartfelt writing, music choices and the electric chemistry between Storrie and Williams.

However, the biggest aspect of the show that has undeniably captured fan attention is its passionate, romantic, shocking, jaw-dropping, thirst-inducing sex scenes. From episode one onward, viewers have been treated to a front-row seat into the spicy lives of Shane & Ilya — and, most recently, Scott and Kip.

With that in mind, we thought it essential, in the name of very serious investigative journalism (of course), to rank all of Heated Rivalry’s sizzling sex scenes so far. And don’t worry — we’re obsessed with every spicy moment the show has served us so far, so there are no losers on this list.
